None that I can think of.  The only reason I know of that would cause a message not to be found in a folder is that it really is the folder but it's not displaying where you thing it should be displaying.

Today I needed to find an email.

All sent and received mail to/from our organisation is forwarded by Mercury to a single Pegasus mail account (allmail).

When I looked through the relevant folder (mail is grouped by month), I was unable to find the mail message. When I asked Pegasus to search for the message, it found it in the same (January 2008) folder.

So, I had another look and still can not see it. I have sorted the view by name, date, and subject, and the message is not visible.

The message I was looking for can be seen in the search results and has the red forwarded symbol beside it in the screenshot here:

As you can see by the date and time of the message, it is not visible in the folder

Can anyone explain what might be happening here please? Or am I doing something wrong?

Are you absolutely sure that there is no other folder with the same name in a different tray?

However, as you can also see from the screenshot I took today, the message is now visible. This is very strange behaviour. I will use the search function from now on. Are there any diagnostics I can run or any logs Pegasus generates which may help identify the cause?
