pegasus shuts down with attachments

I sent a message two days ago with too large an attachment, so it locked up the system temporarily.  Since then, if I attempt to add an attachment to an outgoing message or open an in-coming message with an attachment, the program shuts down.

I back up with Acronis every night.  When I restored the program to the day before the time I sent too large an attachment, the program still shuts down when dealing with attachments.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

First of all check the Tools -> Internet options -> sending mail section in the program, it might be that some info go corrupt. Re-enter it and save the definition.

Second check the Home mailbox location for and *.pmx *.pmo or *.pnx files, there should not be any zero byte file. A very large file with such an extension might be the old file you wanted to send....

Thanks for your advice.  I could not get to my e-mail until recently--I am using Web Mail now.  I tried your suggestions, but the program still closes when I try to open an attachment.
