(Not sure how to "quote" on this system)

I have had similar problems when replying or forwarding. MOST often, this is because i use plain text and the "sent" email was in HTML format. I then select what i want to reply to or forward and Pegasus does the rest...

Dear All,

Occasionally and only with certain emails I have problems in forwarding a messages. The message may just contain part of the header but otherwise is just empty between the fwd separators. (Option: Editor or make changes to forwarded messages before fwd them ...)

It is hard to find a pattern but it seems that it is more likely to happen when the message to be forwarded was sent via MS Exchange and/or had several other messages listed in a thread below. More complicated - more likely to happen ?

Any idea or bug?

Thanks

Thomas

When you click "Forward" a popup comes up that gives you several options. One of the options in that popup menu is to include the content of the message in the reply, and another is to attach it instead. Are you sure the message is completely missing? Or is it attached perhaps?

You might also check the way you have Pegasus configured to handle rich text and HTML. For security purposes you might have an option turned off that prevents Pegasus from importing those types of messages? I'm not familiar with MS Exchange, but I hope something here gives you an idea of where to look next if this isn't the problem..!

Yes, I am familiar with those options and have tried all sort of combinations but with no success at least when the "edit message before sending" is set. As I said, it is only from time to time so I use my work-arounds which are not nice but, well ;-) I just either do a reply and change the address and the Re to Fwd or in some cases just copy and past the entire message manually into the fwd message ;-)

I normally can read html and rich text messages alright also with those message in question. The problem comes when I do that fwd.

I have my settings to "not to send styled messages", but that process come after sending. So generally styles are still visible in the editor when I open a message as well as when I reply or fwd them.

No big problem just thought to raise it ;-)

Thanks

Thomas

Sorry I couldn't be of help. Strict compliancy to standards isn't MS's strong point and Pegasus has its own 'personality' :)  so you're probably right about it being a bug. Hope you find an answer or notice a commonality sooner or later. It's always nice to work out the little annoyances! :)
