Can't read mail, Pmail crashes

Thanks a lot irelam, I would never have thought of the printer, but that was the solution.

Thanks a lot irelam, I would never have thought of the printer, but that was the solution.

I have been using Pegasus for many yeas, with few problems. Now I get the "Mailbox is locked" dialog, check taskmanager, no other instance running, click continue, Pm opens up, looks good, but when I click on a message it crashes.  I then get the Send error report to MS querry and I say Don't Send, but view the error report,  Here is the short version, if needed I will send the long one

--------

AppName: winpm-32.exe     AppVer: 4.4.1.0     ModName: hpzpm310.dll
ModVer: 2.323.0.0     Offset: 00041983

-----------------

BTW if I exit Pmail without trying to read any messages I can restart it without the locked mailbox dialog, but if it crashes after I try to read a message I do get the dialog again.

Also, I did try reindexing a folder, and that worked and made no difference.

Tried re installing Pegasus too.

Any help appreciated.

I suggest you change the Windows default printer to something like the Generic Printer (use Control Panel to set default printer). It sounds like your HP printer device is unavailable (Network device not reachable)  or printer switched off (?)
