Hi everybody,
I am new to this forum but using Marcury/32 on a Windows 2000-system for quite some time now (3-4 years or so). I just updated to Mercury version 4.61, and whilst updating I wanted to check out the tools mentioned in the installation-package called SpamWall, ClamWall and Graywall.
ClamWall seems to work perfect, i did not test Graywall but I have serious problems getting SpamWall to set the total probability of spam to more than 0,00000xxx percent.
The system is set up to collect eMails via pop3 from several (free) servers (IMAP is not supported by these servers). I disabled the mercury content-control-filters.
I sent eMails to the mentioned eMail-adresses with the following subject and message-text:
Subject: viagra
Body: viagra
I got the follwing Headers (debug-mode enabled):
X-Clamwall: Passed through antiviral test by ClamWall 1.3.0.95 on xxxx.de (1026)
X-Spamwall: Passed through antiSPAM test by SpamHalter 4.4.0 on xxxx.de (126)
X-Spamwall: probability - 0.0%
X-Spamwall: Debug - fr*partofsenderadress 0.0043103448276
X-Spamwall: Debug - fr*partofsenderadress 0.0238095238095
X-Spamwall: Debug - fr*partofsenderadress 0.0238095238095
X-Spamwall: Debug - viagra 0.7708333333333
X-Spamwall: Debug - su*viagra 0.3846153846154
X-Spamwall: Debug - ... 0.0000054138599
So the overall probability is only almost 0,000%. I set the tokens to 1, to 20 (default) to 40, i set the level of non-spam to 1 and 5 (2 ist default) etc. I always get the same results.
This is a part of the spamhalter-log:

If i set the probability-percentage in Spamhalter to 0,00% i get the following debug-info (only a sniplet, the rest of it is the same as above)
X-Spamwall: probability - 0.0%
X-Spamwall: SPAM detected!
X-Spamwall: Debug - fr*partofsenderadress 0.0043103448276
I trained the spam and nospam-emails with ca. 50 eMails each (I know that i should train it with at least 100, but i sent the same message as above to the "spam"-adress with no results.
Does anybody here have any idea what I am doing wrong? II browsed the forum here and also the wiki (http://email.arcm.com/wiki/index.php/Spamwall%20FAQ) where the last post is about the exact same problem, and this exact problem is (still, since 2006) unsolved.
Thanks in advance for any hint for resolving this problem,
lx
