Sounds like your Adobe install is not complete, because Pegasus Mail has let Windows launch Adobe Reader.  Adobe has just released a big security fix and is encouraging people to install it. Hope you are not infected.

I can NOT open any PDF attachment from Pegasus. I have to save the PDF attached file, then open it from within the new directory location? Why?

 I use v 4.41 and windows xp

Look in menu Tools/Options/Incoming Mail   Is extension type pdf listed?  If not click the Add button.  then in the Extension-type box type in the extension ".pdf"  (don't code the double quotes).  Leave the search  option at Let Windows choose. Click OK.  You are done

Error message says Adobe 8.1 has encountered a problem and must close....

Never had this problem with older versions of adobe or older versions of Pegasus?
