PMail 4.41 does not see attachment in a forwarded email message

Message 2. The email forwarded back to me by our secretary. Again with

raw headers but with email addresses and domains obscured with

"[removed]" manually put in.

How is she actually forwarding the mail?  The sample you provided looks like she just pasted the raw message into her editor.  When I copied this and saved this as a CNM file it becomes obvious she is not doing a normal forward (i.e. bounce) where the messages is just redirected to another user.     I do not have access to Groupwise and this really looks like a Groupwise problem.

Our secretary forwards (with Novell Groupwise) emails with attachments to me - and then Pmail cannot see the attachment (remains base-64 encoded within the text of the email).

Other email clients correctly see the attachments. What do I need to send/try in order for you wise friends to be able to judge what is strange in the email structure in order to get back to our IT people to be able to fix the secretary's Groupwise email client setup.?

Another symptom is that the received forwarded email with attachment cannot be forwarded by Pmail -- the forwarded email contains the forwarded message "===" delimiters, with nothing between.

 Any helpful ideas?

Max

Hello!

To be honest, I do not have any idea right now concerning what is causing the problem you have described.
In order to find out what is happening here, two e-mail messages might be interesting to see: the e-mail message that your secretary has been sent to (i.e., the message your secretary has recevied before forwarding it to you), and the e-mail message that you receive after the original message was forwarded. May you send an example of those message, or are they private in some way?

Thank you for the reply!

Message 1. -- the original email's content (with headers, and with email addresses removed).... however the copyself contains the link only. To be noted is that any forwarded email messes up, not only one's I send.
