Pmail won't get mail from gmail account

As Thomas posted already, either (a) or (d) is the configuration you need to receive mail.

As Thomas posted already, either (a) or (d) is the configuration you need to receive mail.

No matter what I do in setup, my new pmail installation won't get mail from gmail - my inbox remains empty.

Only error messages is Connection Timeout (no response from host).  Trace showing end of transaction only shows:
6. Socket timeout

I can create and send mail from Pmail through gmail, but just can't receive.  I'm running Vista Home Premium on a new laptop (Acer Extensa 5620Z).

 Setting for receiving mail:
Server Host Name: pop.gmail.com
TCP/IP Port: 110

Any ideas, suggestions?

 Michael
