Can someone take a look at my configuartions.
I've been able to send mails in my ZenCart store to an email adress of my but it only sended the email, I didn't receive anything in my mail box.
So here's a quick view on how I tried to configure both.
Pegasus and Mercury/32 are both instaled on my local WAMPserver
Pegasus conf:
general settings: my internet email address: storekeeper@african_masks.com
Receiving(POP3): mail.african_masks.com
sending(SMTP): mail.african_masks.com
identities: <Default>
Pegasus MAil users: Admin
Mercury conf:
General: internet name for this system: african_masks.com
Local mailbox direct path: C:\WAMP\WWW\PMAIL\MAIL\~N
mail queue: C:\WAMP\WWW\MERCURY\QUEUE
Local domains: local host ro server internet name

african_masks african_masks.com
MercuryE:
identify yourself as:
Name servers:

General: IP interface to use: 84.198.71.118

If I send a mail message in Mercury/32 From postmaster@african_masks.com
to admin@african_masks.com I receive the message in Pegassus, so that already works.
If I however send a testmail from my ZenCart Store(Admin) from admin@african_masks.com
to an email address I get this message
Email Error:SMTP error: could not connect to SMTP host.
It actually did work 2days ago but I don't know what I'm doiing wrong s-ince then.
Now it takes bout 10 seconds to actually send the email in ZenCart compared to 2 seconds when it did work.
I have changed the mercury.ini file as well.

Looks fairly normal, however neither the POP3 or SMTP host is valid. If you want to connect to the Mercury/32 host and you are on the same system you should be either "localhost" or "127.0.0.1". If you are one a different computer then use the IP address of the Mercury/32 host.
Mercury conf:looks reasonable but again the hosts are invalid but will work locally.

Are you running a MercuryS host? That is what the ZenCart will be using to send the mail. If ZenCart is running on the same system it should be using localhost or 127.0.0.1 as the SMTP host name.

One more time, you need to be providing more information. Just telling us it that mail is not received is like telling your mechanic the car does not work and to fix it.
1. Does the MercuryS screen show it was received and processed normally? What do the MercuryS log show?
2. Does the core screen show the mail was processed? Was the message delivered locally or sent to the queue? What does the system log show?
3. If sent to a non-local address does MercuryE show it was processed? What does the MercuryE log show?

I have called Telenet, my ISP , and they told me I need a business solution for setup a mailserver.
So it is normal I don't receive my emails.[:)]

I have called Telenet, my ISP , and they told me I need a business solution for setup a mailserver.Use Configuration | Protocols to setup Mercury/32 to use MercuryC instead of MercuryE and it will be operating just like a e-mail client using the telenet.be SMTP host as a relay host to send the mail. You enter the host name of the smtp host that you would use for sending from any e-mail client. See http://tstephenson.com/pegasus/mercuryc.jpg

This is a standard answer from many ISPs - sure you can have a mailserver for outgoing emails - just as Thomas has described.

My ISP told me to use "uit.telenet.be" as the SMTP host.
but in the MercuryC logs I see this

I'm not able to find a domain registered as african_masks.com. One good reason for this is that although domain names may contain hyphens they can't contain underscores. Please try using a proper sender address.

I've changed the domain name with nomore underscores but hyphens and all its related files but with no result.
My site is still on a local server. Do I have to have a registred domain name for beiing able to send email from admin@african-masks.com to an axtrenal email account of me??
I thought that was the advantage of working local, you didn't have to be registred yet.
