Can you please confirm that you are seeing different settings in your two Identities? I'll explain:

Tools | Internet Options | Sending (SMTP) tab

If things are set correctly for your desired setup, you should find that when you are in your Gmail Identity, the only SMTP host listed is the Gmail one. Equally, in your other Identity you should not see the Gmail one.

I have not tested but if you only change the identity within the Compose Message window, rather than using the main toolbar before composing the message, it is possible that there is a bug which means it sends through the settings of the "toolbar identity".

I have two idendities set up, one for my web site email address and one for my Gmail address, everything is set up OK. No problem with my domain identity and I receive Gmail messages OK,but I don't know how to send an email from my Gmail address, I have changed the identity (Become) but when I send mail it always goes out through my Domain SMTP, also when composing mail is there any way to view the sending address?

To send mail from your GMail account, you have to add an SMTP definition to you GMail identity in Pegasus.

Select your GMail Identity, got to the settings for this identity, select the tab "Sending (SMTP)" and add an new

SMTP definition with the values provided by Google.

Hi, Thanks for your reply, I have all that set up OK, what's confusing me is, I'm an Ex-Eudora user and there I could set up several identitries with their own email accounts and at the time of composing a message just select the one I wanted to use, then the mail was sent using that particular FROM:Address also it was visible on screen too, this I can't seem to be able to do with Pagasus.

Maybe I'm not understanding your problem ;-), but you can create a new message,

then press F9 and select the identity you want send the mail from.

I still cannot change my outgoing address, whatever I do it always sends via the Default SMTP addres. Apart from the default setting I have set up an indentity for my Gmail address. As far as I can tell everything is is set with the info supplied by Google, ie. Pop incoming details and the Smtp outgoing details. When I compose a new message I change the identity, the drop down menu then shows this as correct, but on sending it still goes out via the default smtp from address. Is there something I'm missing completely?
