Inbox folder is missing when using another userid to login to computer

Eventhough we are not using the mailbox at the sametime?

As long as you can ensure that two people do not have the same mailbox open concurrently this will work.  However, there is no way I know to ensure this will not happen, especially if anyone using the "Add mailbox to list " to view the folders. You are getting file corruption and so this tell me at least that there is concurrent access to at least one mailbox. 

If there is concurrent access then you will have at least some file corruption.  If though you use Mercury/32 and IMAP4 this will work.

We are using Pegasus 4.41 as our email client in our office. we have our own email addresses and some addresses that can also be viewed by more than 1 person. There is this email address that we have and currently 4 of us has access on this email address. But the problem is when the other one is accessing the email it would sometimes crash it would not open at all, sometimes it will open but the inbox folder is missing. We have also other email address that can be open by more than 1 person but this is only the address that is ahvign this problems. Is there any thing I can do to solve thsi issue? Pelase help...

Are 4 of you accessing the same mailbox?  Where are the mailboxes - on a server in the office or hosted elsewhere by your mail provider?

Pegasus Mail does not support concurrent multiple direct access of the mail boxes.  In this case you can easily get files and folder corruption and either the hierarch.pm or state.pmj is corrupted when the new mail folder goes away.  I would strongly recommend that you install Mercury/32 and then use IMAP4 to provide the multiple access.  IMAP4 allows multiple concurrent IMAP4 access.

Hi Thanks for the replies. Yes our mailbox is in the server in the office. We dont have any problems with the other email addresses but only this particular address. But when I am the one openignthis email address everything is ok but if my colleague is the one using this address using his ssytem ID the inbox folder is missing, but other email address that she ahs access to it don't have any problems only this email. I have already tried to Uninstall and reinstall her pegasus in her computer but still the same. Any resolution that would resolve this problem? Hope to hear again some good advise... thanks

 Yes, quit using concurrent multiple access to the mailboxes.   Again, this is not supported even if it works most of the time.  You are going to have this sort of problem over and over and long as yuo have more that one person accessing a mailbox at the same time.

Actually we are doing this is beacue if the person in cahrge of that email is not around then the person that has access on this email can be able to check it. So this is the reason why there are some who has givien permission to access this email. So you mean that there is no way this problem can be solve unless to avoid concurrent accesing of the mailbox?
