Hi there,
Hope someone can give me some advice on this, we have pegasus mail installed on several clients in our network. The network OS is Windows server 2003. The fault we are experiencing only occurs on one client.
The machine is a Dell Optiplex with 3 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM Windows XP pro service pack 3. Also has Sophos Anti-virus and spybot search and destroy.
The symtoms are, A new mail comes in but does not display in the inbox, only the 'New Mail' folder is highlighted and the number of new mail at the bottom of the screen show there is an unread message. Once you navigate back to the 'New Mail' folder the message is displayed. This might suggest an indexing problem with the New Mail folder. However, Pegasus is also crashing, sometimes when clicking on this new message and somtimes when just moving messages from one folder to another or just simply navigating from one folder to another. The Windows message is displayed that Pegasus crashed, do you want to send an error report.
I have checked the Event log and found the following.
Source: Application Error
Event ID: 1000
Faulting application winpm-32.exe, version 4.4.1.0, faulting module winpm-32.exe, version 4.4.1.0, fault address 0x00042644.
There are several of these messages as this has become a more frequent issue with different fault addresses. There are also warning message from other processes related to Sophos Antivirus, but as this warning appears on other clients within the network without causing the same fault I would think it unlikely that it would be related, but I'm not ruling it out.
Could this be a faulty memory module causing this? Would running memtest be an option?
Thanks for your time[:)]
