Why isn't TBirds Keywords-Feature working together with mercury

If you telnet to MercuryI you'll find what commands are supported. Have to check - sounds very interesting.

Hi!

Since TBird 2 it is possible to mark mails with special keywords like "important, todo...". Using this feature at my imap account at work, I can see those keywords at home as well. This means that they are stored on the server. It is not justs a local thing of TBird. I checked my mail folder at work and found the following header entries:

X-Status:
X-Keywords: $label2
X-UID: 111177
And I guess that the X-Keywords is the important thing here... The mailserver at work is qmail (linux).
Unfortunatly, this feature does not work with mercury. I can see the keywords (and the colored messages) on the machine where I set them, but not on any other machine connected to the same mercury imap account. I checked all the files in my user directory of the mercury mail folder, but I couldn't find anything like the above shown lines. Where does mercury store such things like "message is new/have s already been read" (as far as I know, this should be the X-Status flag from above) ...
Is there no change to change to get this feature running togehter with mercury?
Thanks,
Konrad

Isn't this a client function - not to do with the server, or have I misunderstood how you are using it?

No, it seems that this is not a client only function. At least with our imap mail server at work (qmail - linux) this is server based and uses imap standards to store the keywords on the server. As i said, tagging a mail on one client and I can see the tag and it's color on every other machine after refresing the account/changing the folder. This is a very nice feature and I would like to use it with my private imap accounts (using mercury) as well!

bets,

Konrad
