Dataerror in folder

Many thanks for your support.

I will switch to outlook 2007, Adressbook currently done, the export from Pegasus Mail is running to Windows Mail Vista, then import in WMV, then importing in OL2007. Tests being good. Headers correct, sending-date correct, it seems like good.

Pegasus was absolut excellent the last 5 years for me, over 68000 Mails being handeld with PM. I think, OL2007 is currently stable enough to handle it in seperate pst´s.

Thanks,

 Werner

Hello,

i´m using V4.41 german. The errormessage ist "Datenfehler in Ordner entdeckt", "Suchfehler in Hauptdatei". English: "Dataerror in folder", "searcherror in mainfile". Reindexing does not fix the error. The Mailheader doesn`t matching with the mailtext.

 What can i do?

 TIA!

 Werner

Can you open the folder? If so then

1.  Move all the messages you want to save to a temp folder and
delete all the messages in the original folder.

2.  Use the right click "recover deleted space" to remove all
    messages form the folder.

3.  If step 2 works then simply move all of the messages from the
temp folder back to the original folder and delete the temp
    folder.

4.  If step 2 fails then delete the original folder and rename the
temp folder to match the original name.  Reset the filter
    pointing to this folder.

If you cannot open the folder then the only thing I can recommend is that you restore it from backup.

Thanks.

But, it doesn´t work. I can move all the messages to a new folder, but the new folder have the same error: some messages in one folder are wrong, when i click many times to the messages, there is always another text to the message-header displayed. Another sender, another receiver, another mailtext.

What is wrong?

All my backups contains the corrupted folder... :-(

Thanks,

 Werner

Really strange.  This sounds like a corrupted index and moving the good messages to a new folder should create a new index.  You might try upgrading to the PB1 version to see what happens.
