SSL SMTP to Windows Live

I fixed the problem by changing the security option from direct SSL to STARTTLS. Seems to be working okay.

I just changed from Earthlink dial-up to Qwest DSL (ISP is MSN/Live). I'm unable to send

mail. Live requires a secure connection to port 25 with authentication. I have the SMTP

setting set to:

Port 25

SSL

disable certificate validation

Authenticate via login using a POP3 username

The error that I get is:

22: Error -32 activating SSL session (locus 6014, type 4, code 0, 'Unexpected packet type

50, expected 22')

Any ideas as to how to solve this problem? Outlook Express works but I really, really don't

want to switch from Pegasus to some other e-mail program.

Thanks,
