Thank you Thomas for your speedy reply.
I had not thought of checking the setting in NConfig.
In NConfig, under the setting "Internet Name", I had "mailgate.company.com" which I changed to "company.com".
Also, in the mercury.ini file for the setting "my name:" I had "mailgate.company.com" (canonical name for this server)
which I would think is the information required for that field. I mean, it doesn't ask for the "domain name".
But, I also changed it there to just "company.com". I unloaded and reloaded the NLMs and it had NO effect. The copies to self
which are auto-generated (of course) still show the "From" address as xyz@mailgate.company.com which is a non-working address.
Where the heck is it getting that? I am baffled.
Please, does anyone else have an explanation of what's going on?
Thanks,
eRob
