Greetings,
I am using Mercury/32 vers4.52 as part of XAMPP. In the previous XAMPP version I was running (1.68) all I had to do to
relay emails to myself (to gmail or aol) was insert my ISPs SMTP server in the php.ini
and then start Mercury from the XAMPP control panel and it worked! It
was that simple. When I installed the latest version of XAMPP (vers 1.70) I
have had nothing but trouble when testing my PHP scripts that send out
email and nothing I do seems
to correct this.[:(]
The errors I'm getting from the files I find in the Queue folder are:
- "550-5.7.1 [98.151.34.255] The IP you're using to send mail is not authorized"
- "553 see http://mailerrors.cbs.com/badhelo.html?localhost"
In an attempt to resolve this issue, I have specified the DNS servers in my network connections, included the DNS suffix in "DNS suffix for this connection" field under the Advanced/DNS tab and checked both boxes directly below this. Someone on a different forum suggested I try using MecuryC instead of MecuryS but when I switched them, Mecury/32 would output an error upon launch and shutdown immediately. I was forced to edit the Mecury.ini file and manually switch it back to S just so I could start it up again! [:^)] Does this mean that perhaps my installation is corrupt? Is this a bug?
To be honest, I haven't a clue what else to do and I hope someone can help me out, thanks. . [*-)]
