Error message Cfmt....

Problem1:  ("Save cfmt file ..."): After putting PMAIL into the exceptions of KaperskyIS, so that KIS doe not contoll PMAIL, the problem is solved.

  • When sending a mail, after pressing the button following message is shown: "SaveCfmt file could not be opened.." Then the queued mail will be sent but arrives blank without text. Attachments arrive correctly.
  • In the Queue Manager persists a mail(?): redy to send ... wihout an adress. If I cancelit, it shows up again.
Can you help me?

I have no idea what is causing this one but it does not look like any Pegasus Mail error message I've ever seen.  That said it does look like Pegasus Mail is having some sort of problem writing to a file and that might be caused by the lack of rights.

1.  Use Help | About Pegasus Mail | Info to locate the HOME mail directory.

2.  Use File Manager or Explorer and go to this directory and delete the zero length PMO, PMX and PMW files.

I have seen a similar problem with a user of Kapersky Antivirus.

I tried it but did not find helpful/successful advice.

for a quick test: disable Kapersky Antivirus and send a message to yourself. 

If it arrives ok we are on the right track.

I put PMAIL into the area of trusted programs (KaperskyAV). Now PMAIL is no longer controlled by Kapersky and works perfectly again.
