Today when I tried to post a message from one of my accounts, the following error message appeared:

Savecfmt

Could not open the file

The message was sent but there was no data in the body, just the address headers and my sig.  Could this have something to do with my Kaspersky Anti Virus 8.0?  I recently upgraded. I am using Windows XP Pro SP2 and Pegasus Mail 4.41.

Absolutely, this is not a PMail error message but it might be from the anti-virus software.  Do not have the a-v software scanning any of the PMail directories.

I see that I'm not the only one here with this problem. I've checked the Kaspersky forum, it is a known issue. Using a Trusted Zone setting seems to be the anwser.  There also may be problems sending graphics files as attachments.
