thanks! i managed to clear the FLSEARCH.PM! that was a great tip....

Using 4.41. I have noticed that the search history is kept in a long drop down menu which i wish to clear and even better not to being showing up from the first place.

also the deafult search is "search all folders in selected mailbox" how do i change the default to "search the current folder only" which is what i usually need....

Held in a file called FLSEARCH.PM in your home mail directory.  Probably if this were cleared and set to read only it would never be saved.
