Pegasus - Exchange IMAP Problem

Ok.  Problem solved, I think.  Entirely user error and lack of experience.  I had wsock32.dll set to never load.  Of course, now I have Internet Options, but don't need to debug as IMAP is also working.  Thank you, Thomas, for your input.

I've been trying to establish an IMAP connection between PMail (running on XP SP3) and our Exchange server.  After creating the IMAP profile, each time I attempt a connection PMail bombs out.  The trouble log throws the following:

Profile: "Exchange",28680,"hornets.centralchristian.edu",143,"[domainname]/[username]",24386,"C?<c@{b,R","",0,30,0,"","",0,"Trash"
Profile-ID: 1000

3 errors that show in the application event log on the client are "Faulting application winpm32.exe ver 4.4.1.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000" (2 times) and "Faulting application winpm32.exe ver 4.4.1.0, faulting module kernel32.dll, ver 5.1.2600.5512, fault address 0x0000df2c"

I've verified that the IMAP service is running on the server and the virtual IMAP connector is running as well.  I don't find any errors generated on the server; no errors generated in event logs.

 Any ideas?

Looks like garbage is being sent.

Turn on session logging in PMail and checkout the debug file to see exactly what is being sent to the server.
I've used -Z 32 on initialization and set the System Message reporting level to 5.  No messages relating to IMAP show in the system message window (only items such as program starting, spamhalter starting, legacy folders loading, etc.).  Am I looking in the wrong place?

Yes you are.  Go to File | Network configuration | General and turn on "Create Internet session logs (advanced diagnostic use only)"

Checking this control tells Pegasus Mail to create special log files that show the entire exchange of information between it and the servers it connects to. Each session will be created in a file called TCPxxxx.WPM in your home mailbox directory (the "xxxx" is replaced by four digits). Creating session logs will slow down the performance of your system somewhat, and you should be aware that any username and password information exchanged between Pegasus Mail and the server will be shown in the log, *even* if you use SSL to secure the connection. Session logs are primarily useful if you need to debug a problem between Pegasus Mail and one of the servers it connects to - you should enable the option only on instructions from a system administrator or from Pegasus Mail technical support. [ Technical note: this control has the same effect as using a "-Z 32" commandline switch when you run Pegasus Mail ]

Now when you make a connection the IMAP4 TCP/IP will be available for analysis.  A good connection should look something like this:

Connect to '192.168.1.4' port 8143, timeout 30.
14:31:22.734 [*] Connection established to 192.168.1.4

Hmmm.  Don't have that as an option in my File menu.  I didn't mention previously that we're using it in Netware mode, if that makes a difference (My bad, sorry.)  Is there a simple way to reconfigure to get the network config option available?

Should even be available in the Netware mode, Netware does not turn off the built-in mailer.  Try Tools | Internet options | General.   BTW, you should always state when using Netware, the version used and weather using bindery or NDS.
Internet Options is unavailable.

Just to round out the background info:  using Netware 6.5 in NDS.
