WinXP - Migrating Pmail via File and Settings Transfer Wizard

Is a Pmail install simple (like Agent I use at home) where you can just copy the entire C:\pmail folder to the new PC and it would work.

Yes, a copy of everything to the c: drive of the other computer will work and all you need to do is create a new shortcut pointing to c:\pmail\programs\winpm-32.exe to run the program.  Any registry entries required will be created when you run the program.  You should run Tools | Options | Hyperlinks "System mailer" to make the program available to the system.

I have found a post with the following info on Pmail File Locations:

  • C:\pmail\programs
  • C:\pmail\mail\admin
  • C:\pmail\mail\admin
  • new mail directory (single-user home)

Problem, the post does not state where multi-user home is located.

NOTE: The file location structure for Pmail should be in a FAQ

What I need is instructions on how I can use the Windows File and Setting Transfer Wizard to migrate Pmail from on PC to a new PC.

A simple install requires little on no Registry entries. Agent does this because when you first run Agent in the new PC, it automatically make the very limited Registry required (essentially the Installer info).
