tcp/ip connections open when closing Pegasus

Sure wish I could get this fixed.

Have you tried a complete new install to a different directory entirely to rule out problems with the OS.   If this works then you can point at the folders in the old mail directory to get your data. You can then copy the PND files for the old directory to the new to get the POP3 and SMTP setups.  If all of this works normally then I suspect that there is some sort of problem with your state.pmj, pmail.ini or folstate files that are causing the problem.

You can then delete (rename) the pmail.ini, state.pmj and folstate.pm files in the original system and it will allow you to start as new without losing any data at all.  You will have to use the POP3/SMTP setup and reselect the POP3/SMTP setup and rebuild manuall any identities you were using.

No luck searching, but I'm sure this has been asked before. When closing Pegasus, I get a message that says there are active tcp/ip connections. I've used Pegasus for years but didn't have this problem until recently upgrading my motherboard and reloading programs. I have no IMAP profiles (which some answered was my problem). I can't find any settings to make this go away.

My first post here, Pegasus is great.

Not sure what to tell you.  If you are not using IMAP4 then the only TCP/IP connections you should have are for POP3 and SMTP and they should be closed when the download/sending is complete.  You are not using a PH or LDAP server to get yuor email addresses are you?

Not sure. Don't think so, but not sure what PH and LDAP are. I should mention that this is Pegasus 4.11 (if it ain't broke, don't fix it.) but it has worked fine for me for many years and many different computers. But this latest hardware upgrade somehow introduced this problem. Maybe its time to upgrade my Pegasus.
