Forward email to PHP script

RTFM [:D]

Have a look in the help file under "filters" and "policies".

How to employ these depends on the detail of what you are trying to achieve.

I need to forward or pipe all emails with an address like script@localhost to be handled by a php script. I have only found a couple of articles on the web that discuss how to do this, none of them say how the do it in Mercury Mail.

I am new to all of this so any help would appreciated.

Is this possible and if so how?

I have tried forwarding to | /localhost/script.php and get a user does not exist.

I have also tried Using an Alias script@localhost = FILE:/localhost/script.php and I get an error that script@localhost does not exists.

Try a filter ruleset with an "extract to file" & "run a program" action.

Another option is to use a Core Policy, but this will run for all (unfiltered) mail.

Yet another option is to have the script run periodically and poll the users new mail folder for *.cnm files then process them directly.

don't think FILE:/localhost is valid as filter rule..

but an alias filter rule should be able to pick up the entire content

I hate to say it, but being a newbe I do not know how to do any of you suggestions. Can you please point me in the right direction or better yet give me some examples. I am on windows, using xampp, apache, PHP, Mercury Mail.

Thanks
