program crashing on send/reply - gmail problem?

I have reinstalled the program only with the gmail account and in fact the program crashes only when I use the send/reply button with the gmail account. However, it works fine if I only send, or only receive, which means that the settings must be correct.

I have tried, as you say, also to "send before receive" but no luck....

Hello, my problem is the following: Having bought a new laptop, I copied my old PMAIL folder on new computer, as I have done in the past with success, but when I try to send/reply simultaneusly the program crashes. So I tried to new install the program and I get the same result, so now I know it's not related to my old customized settings.

I have two identities, one of which is a gmail identity. If I just send or just receive all works fine. Sometimes (rarely) it also works if I send/receive simultaneously just once. If I try again a second time, the program crashes (I get the standard Windows message and Pegasus locks). I have a hard time understanding whether the problem is linked to the simultaneous use of the two identities, whether it is a gmail problem (I used the settings indicated on the website, and in any case they are the same that work perfectly on my old pc) or whether it is a winsock problem.

very very thankful for any advice

I leave Winsock as "always load" for Google Mail and FastMail accounts without problems.

Thanks, I just tried with the winsock setting "Always" but  [:(]  still doesn't work.

It worked on the first send/reply, but the second time I tried it crashed again

Have you tried disabling the two accounts one-at-a-time to see which is the problem? Or perhaps having them in a different order? Maybe changing the setting of "send before receive"...?

It does seem likely that the new PC is at least part of the issue - perhaps you have some new software which is not liking something? Your new computer will probably have different network drivers or security software, for example.

Just thinking aloud...
