Pegasus Won't Open

Hi Aderoy,

Thank you so much. Your suggestion worked like a charm. Renaming the .lck file removed the error message, and when I was removing the .cnm files I found one that was 12mb. Pegasus opened with no problems without this file, with it, it hung up. So, out with the 12mb file and I have all of my saved e-mails from March.

 Thanks again,

Jeff

Hi,

Yesterday Pegasus worked fine, but today as it open it says the New Mail folder seems to be in use. I select Continue and it just sits there, forever. I uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted the PMAIL folder, and copied the backup I just made. Same thing happened. I did the same thing, but uploaded a month old backup of PMAIL, and it works perfectly, except that I lost a month of saved e-mails. Any ideas about what happened?

Thanks,

Jeff

check in the mail directory for a file with .lck (I think it is mailboxp.lck)

With Pegasus closed, rename to mailboxp.lck.old (or just delete)

check for files *.cnm. If there are some move to another directory. These are the New Mail items that have not been moved from the Inbox.

Startup Pegasus. If launches OK, then move the *.cmn back into the pmail folder one at a time.
