hierarchical folder structure lost

PM (ver. 4.41 Win32) was complaining 2-3 times this morning about lack of disk space or corrupted disk when trying to compress the main folder. Still, everything seemed to be working normal until it could no longer display any of the messages, it showed some weird characters instead.

After backing up PM and restarting it couple of times, I could see that all messages and 'Filing Trays' were still there but the hierarchical folder structure was gone, except for the 'New Mail' folder. I did follow couple suggestions on the forum to deal with issues associated with the two files (STATE.PJM and HIERARCH.PM) but could not recover the folder structure. Any help will be much appreciated.

You've lost your hierarch.pm file that contains all of the folder structure, probably due to a lack of disk space or some other drive problem.  If you have a recent backup you can restore this from the backup otherwise you need to re-build this manually.

FWIW, compressing a folder requires about twice as much disk space as used by the folder since it's going to build the new folder before deleting the old folder.
