Pegasus Mail Suggestions
Easier access to IMAP functions

I'm quite aware of how to make an IMAP box open automatically, thanks. I said in my post that I do not WANT to have it open automatically. What I would LIKE is for the toolbar to include some kind of one-click button to check an IMAP box (rather than click, click, click through the IMAP profiles dialog).

As stated previously, using IMAP like that feels like you're using an extension rather than an integrated part of the program, that's all. This is a very simple and basic wishlist suggestion, not a request for support.

Cheers.  :)

I've recently started using IMAP with Peg and I would like to suggest that it would be nice if some work could be done to integrate it better. By that I mean the IMAP thing all feels like a "bolted-on" section within the program, almost like an extension.

For example, to check my POP boxes, I just click a button on the main toolbar which is there by default. In contrast, assuming I don't set my IMAP box to auto-connect (which I do not wish to do), I have to dig into the Tools menu, open the IMAP profiles dialog, and double-click the mailbox I want. Surely a toolbar button can be invented, or my IMAP mailboxes could be permanently listed among the folders but disconnected until expanded?

I have no problem with the functionality of IMAP within Pegasus, I just think the presentation/usability lags behind, which is a pity because IMAP use seems to be much more widespread now than it used to be.

Cheers folks.

Under the Tools | IMAP Profiles

Select your IMAP server/account

Edit

Setting Tab

Check - Alwaysconnect to this Profile when Pegasus Starts

Ok

Done

This should now on the next start of Pegasus open your IMAP Account Profile. Comes in handy when you are not conencted to the network, only 'local' accounts (POP3 etc) are opened. Or as in my case only open the two main IMAP accounts leaving the others for when required -- or online with laptop.

Hope this helps.
