SSL Problem 5: Connect failed, 274C.

I tried about everything with authentication, certificates.  MTCO said Pegasus mail just does not work with them.

Not sure why it does not.  The Direct SSL using ports 995 and 465 should work since it does work with GMail.  What does the session log say when you try to connect.  There is always the possibility that the ISP is using something that the add on cryptlib does not like.

My ISP recently changed to SSL.  I have tried every combination of settings.  What does the 274C error mean?

Winsock connection error.  What does the session log show?  What did the ISP tell you to use with the SSL setup?

Connect to 'mail.mtco.com' port 995, timeout 60.
08:50:05.421 5: Connect failed, 274C.

Go to this URl for their instructions:

http://email.mtco.com/

I used  the Thunderbird stuff:

Thunderbird Text Instructions
1. Open Thunderbird. At the top click Tools -> Account Settings.
2. On the left, under your mail account (user@mtco.com) click "Server Settings".
3. On the right, underneath the "Security Settings" heading, switch from Never to SSL.
Changing this setting should cause the Port at the top to go from 110 to 995.
    If not, change manually.
4. On the left, click "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" to change the outgoing settings.
5. On the right, the outgoing server should say smtp.mtco.com. Click the Edit button next to it.
6. At the bottom, underneath "Security and Authentication", checkmark "Use name and password".
The username should already be your MTCO username. If not, add manually.
7. Below the username section, switch the "Use Secure Connection" setting from No to SSL.
This should also change the port number above from 25 to 465. If not, change manually.
8. Click OK twice to save.

I tried about everything with authentication, certificates.  MTCO said Pegasus mail just does not work with them.
