452 Too many recipients received this hour, only accepting 3 msg/hour!

Nope, no limitations in Mercury. This is a message from the recipient's SMTP server, or a relaying SMTP server in between.

I'm having a similar issue with my ISP. I need to limit how many emails Mercury sends at a time. Ideally, I need a control that lets me specify how many emails are sent before pausing a certain number of seconds and then sending another batch. Is this possible with Mercury?

Thanks!

What does the message "452 Too many recipients received this hour, only accepting 3 msg/hour!" mean?  I am using Mercury32 v4.62 to basically relay messages from an internal computer to several (up to 10) recipients to notify if equipment is not working properly.  I can usually get a few of the messages out before I start getting this message and the emails get stuck in "Pending".

Is this a limitation in Mercury32?

The email addresses I am sending the messages to do not have a restriction.

Thank you for any information.

Wow, that was fast.  Thank you very much for the information.  I will check on the recipient servers for a limit.

I am just using the internal IP address of the workstation Mercury is installed on as the domain name (from:  user@10.0.1.146) so maybe public SMTP servers limit emails from those types of return addresses.

Thanks for the info.  Now I can stop looking in Mercury anyway.

That from address can't be replied to, so you will get a problem with that sooner or later.  There are free email addresses you could get to put there instead.

You don't say but I guess you are using MercuryC to send your outgoing mail through a relay.  Check with the people who host the relay what restrictions they have on number of messages.  If it won't work for you, there are other alternatives you could try.
