Group Mail delivery Mercury/32

I would like to set up groups for incoming emails:

Accounting, Support, Etc.

There is a function for this (sort-of) but it is lacking in information.  From what I can gather, this only relates to NDS groups?  So I have to have an eDir server in order to make this work?

That is weird, I thought that local group functionality used to exist when I last tried to set up Mercury Mail in 1999.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Presently Mercury has native support for Netware directory services only. However, there are a few different ways to create user groups anyway. The easiest one is probably to create a mailing list for each group. Another approach is to create a rule set connected to an alias, but then you won't have a simple graphical interface for adding or removing members.

Dameon Wagner, of the the Pegasus Mail and Mercury/32 beta testers, has created a
daemon that can send to NT groups.

*   NTGroups is another tool that I wrote because of mailing list
pleadings (see, writing to mailing lists does work ;-). It's a custom
daemon for Mercury/32 that allows you to send mail to OS groups like
those found in the various Windows OS's based on NT. Now supports
    receiving mail from external addresses.

I've attached a 2002 ZIP containing the daemon and the readme.  If you have any problems Dr. Wagner's e-mail address is in the readme.
