Moved IMAP Mail has no date ! ??

You should only need to delete the pst. It will get rebuilt when OL checks the IMAP account.

Hi

I moved 3000+ messages from one folder to another with in a single IMAP account.
Before I moved them they had a date associated to them, now they show as NO DATE.

I moved them using Outlook 2003. If I open one of the mails, it date returns and its fine.
BUT I don't fancy opening all 3000+ messages !!

I have tried marking them as Unread and Read to see if that would help, but it hasn't.

Any ideas how I can get there original dates back, ideally in a bulk way ! :)

Thanks

Don't know if OL03 can reload the local cache via the interface, but finding the imap0000.pst (name may bear some resemblance to the account name) and deleting it will force the issue :)

Make sure it is not your main pst file.[:)]

It grows with every body viewed, up to the size of the Mailbox.

IIRC Outlook makes a separate pst for each IMAP account, if you are unsure just rename it (with OL shut) then start it up and see.

Cheers.

Removed the PST and IMAP account, recreated it and it all works.
