No this is not normal but for some reason it does this for some people when using MercuryX at least.

Thanks again Thomas,

after i have deactivate the MercuryX, the Moduls are going only directly on startup.

Hi

First, sorry for my bad english. [:$]

I use the Mercury/32 on a win XP home installation, only on a local network (peer to peer). Today i have updatet from version 4.62 to 4.72 and i get some trouble. I would like to send an EMail from one account to another (via pegasusmail), the connect to server failed with message: 15: Peer connect failure (the host has refused the connection). This error occurs by sending and receiving. By checking with telnet host 25 i get the message, that no connection is possible to port 25 on the server(also port 110).

A look with Tcpview shows me, that the mercury only listend on port 106, but not on another ports.

So i  copy my backup back to the folder. After that, the mercury works fine.

Here is my mercury.ini:

#  MERCURY.INI generated by Mercury Setup
#
#
#  Sample Bindery Mode MERCURY.INI file (in fact, the one I use on
#  my production server). This one implements most of the possible
#  switches for each module, but you can edit it to do less if you
#  wish. All the fields shown below are described in the file
#  MGUIDE.HLP which is supplied in the Mercury archive.
#
#  Anything after a '#' to the end of the line is a comment and
#  is stripped out before parsing. Trailing and leading whitespace
#  is also stripped before parsing. Many sample commands have been
#  left in this file commented out for reference purposes.

Is this a typo?  106 is not a normal port to use for mail.

Ok, might be that the server is in the offline mode.  Check out File menu to see what is happening.

XAMPP?  Not sure this function works as designed, it does not for me.

Hi Thomas [:D]

> Thomas wrote:

Thanks for your answer. I'm looking in the filemenue for status of mercury. There was the option "Enter offline mode". I do that and after that i choice "leave offline mode". After that the mercury works fine.

In the second step i cancel the mercury and restart the server. After this i must do the two steps again. Is that normal? The older versions don't need the procedure, to go online.

> XAMPP?  Not sure this function works as designed, it does not for me.

On XAMPP they deliver an older version of mercury, but i update it allways to a newer on.

I dont know for what is mercury listen on this port.

I've done that. But the MercuryS is not so impottent for me, and the domain bighubi.de is only on my LAN, not official. [:D]
