Thank you Chris. I rather suspect that it may be a client problem, give that I am seeing different issues, depending what computer I am using and which client.  All seems to be working fine at the moment, so I'll just keep an eye on it.

Is there a limit to the number of folders that one can associate with an account?  Twice now, new folders that I have created have "disappeared".  This is quite likely to be a client problem, but I am not sure.  With Thunderbird 2.0.0.2, the folders simply became unsubscribed ... not unsubscribed by me, and nobody else uses the client machine other than me.  With Outlook Express on the same machine, the folders are shown as unsubscribed, but on another machine on my network, they are not showing in the folder list at all.  I don't know whether it is a coincidence, but I have exactly 255 folders in the account in question before adding these new folders.

Anyone have any ideas about this?  I am running Mercury v4.62.

I have had trouble getting new folders to appear in Thunderbird, and also getting deleted ones to disappear. I haven't counted but I'm sure I don't have anywhere near 255.

I sometimes have to resubscribe  a couple of times before they stick. To delete I sometimes have to edit hierarch.pm - if you want to see if your new folders are there in Mercury, that's the place to look. If they are in hierarch.pm and not showing in Thunderbird, then the bug is in Thunderbird.
