Pmail and Wsendto using the -O command line option

Thanks.

I understand / understood ALL of that. I am asking how to ensure that mailto NEVER opens Pmail  on-line. So far I can accomplish that with multiple registry mods.

Hello -

I have Pmail setup to use the -O command line option, as I want to determine when I connect to my mail server regardless of when I open Pmail. What I would like to do is have all "mailto" links respond the same way, i.e. open Pmail and setup a message BUT do not connect to my mail server. Are there any suggestions as to how to accomplish this? Does Wsendto have options?

I have fiddled with the registry settings, but I am not completely satisfied with the results.

I am using Vista with Pmail 4.51. Pretty much everything is working with Pmail the way I want. This is the only exception.

Wsendto doesn't do anything else but passing the information to Pegasus Mail.

If Pegasus Mail is not open at the moment of clicking the mailto, it will start on-line. So you need to click the off-line icon (lower right corner) or ALT F L to switch to off-line.

If Pegaus Mail is open and in off-line mode wsendto will respect that setting.

SO... befroe clicking the send button, make sure the on/off status is to your liking.
