telltale window, flapping of wings, and newmail alert sound do not work
Remember those only work when mail will actually stay in the new mail folder. So if you have a filterrule that moves your incoming mail out of the new mail folder (like I have), none of the above will work.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I do not have filterrules that move my incoming mail. It remains in the new mail folder, so this cannot be the cause.

I also  tried the command line option -Z 512 for the newmail alert sound, but this did not help either.

Some reporting/logging options do not work for me:

 • notify  of new mail using a floating "telltale" window
 • animate the icon (flap its wings) when new mail arrives
 • play a newmail alert sound (only when I push the test button the sound rings).

They do not work, neither under Win98SE nor under WinXPSP3, neither in Pegasus Mail 4.51 nor in its previous version. Checking and unchecking, with or without restart of Pegasus Mail, does not help.

Does anybody  have a suggestion for me how to solve this?
Perhaps something is wrong in pmail.ini; can anybody tell me how the default settings for these options look in pmail.ini?
