Address book corrupted

Steffan,

Thanks much.

I ran into problems trying to edit the corrupted address book as some entries would dissapear even though I thought I was being carefull about dealing with the duplicates and the improper associations between names and data.

I was using V4.41 and just now installed V4.51 over the old one.  This fixed the problem.  Solved!

Today, out of the blue sky, my address book began attaching the wrong addresses to some of the names entered into the email message address window.  Oops!  On investigation I found that many addresses had been duplicated and many of these had the incorrect data associated with the names;  one name, for example might appear twice in the list, one time with the correct data (email address, telephone number, etc) and the next time displaying data from an enitrely different person.  When I try to export the address book so that I might clean it up with excell, for instance, only the first one of the hundreds of addresses in the file is exported.  ????   Does anybody know how to fix this?  I've read the other entries about address book corruption; they seem somilar, but I've no idea what is the "PB1" upgrade that was suggested.

 Ideas?

PB1 is public beta 1. But there is a final version out, which you can find under Downloads. Whether that helps fix your address book problem I don't know. I remember I had the same problem once and just cleaned up the address book in question manually.

Cheers!
