I need your help with the following problem:

I have repeatedly been trying to change the email address in the Default identity of Pegasus by reconfiguring it in Toools / Internet Options. The new address is apparently recorded, but at the moment of trying to send emails from that identity the system chooses another address.

I tried to edit the pmail.ini file and only found the other identities, not the Default identity. In the first part of pmai.ini I found two apparently relevant lines:

* Internet E-mail Address

and

* Default reply-to address     

In both cases the lines show the right address, yet the system does not send emails from the Default identity with that address.

I installed the 4.51 versión and the problem continues.

What do you suggest?

Go Tools -> options -> Outgoing Mail -> Sending mail. Is the default reply address set?

It can be that your ISP forces your mail to be from a specific address. 

You can run a debug session (tools -> internet options -> create a session logging) to see exactly what's sent to your ISP's server.
