Error FF servicing queue job

E 20090915 121135 a94 Error connecting to RBQITEXCHVS01.XCTC.CTC.NHS.UK.

This can be caused by a number of reasons.

1.  Port 25 is being blocked by your ISP and this is not your ISPs SMTP relay host.

2.  Port 25 is being blocked by your firewall.

3.  Mercury/32 is being blocked by your firewall.

As a test try using Start | Run telnet tstephenson.com 25 to verify that you get the answer 220 tstephenson.com ESMTP server ready.  If you do not then port 25 is being blocked.  BTW I cannot connect to RBQITEXCHVS01.XCTC.CTC.NHS.UK either.

Hey,

I'm trying to get my MercuryC SMTP Client to work (originally used this - http://www.zoe.vc/2008/mercury-mail-transport-system-fur-externe-mail-konfigurieren/?lan=english - as a guide), but I keep receiving this error message:

In the Mercury Core Processing tab: Mercury MTS Core processing thread running/sent mail to... In the SMTP Client tab: Failed. Error FF servicing queue job.

I've searched through this forum and elsewhere and found several people with the same problem, and I've gone through and completed the suggestions (double checked my SMTP address, increased the TCP/IP timeout, put my FQDN in the 'Announce myself name', checked port 25 is free). I have also turned on the error log for MercuryC and I receive this message:

E 20090915 121135 a94 Error connecting to RBQITEXCHVS01.XCTC.CTC.NHS.UK.

A colleague using the same SMTP address and guidance on zoe.vc has succesffully managed to set up MercuryC, but he has a higher authority than me. Is it possible my network or computer settings are interfering with the SMTP address? Anyone got any other suggestions?

Thanks for any help,

Tiffany xx
