Forwarding of Mail is being deleted

Yep. I had set ".eml" as a forbidden attachment.

Everything is working great.

Thanks to all for the help.

Hi

I'm using 4.72 - IMAP only.

Some of my users are using Thunderbird 2.0.0.23.

Mail that is being forwarded either internally or externally gets deleted. The SMTP server accepts the mail, but the Core deletes it. The Core says it has been deleted by a local daemon. The logs show the message was deleted, but no other explanation. What local daemon?

Strangely enough, this is not a issue forwarding mail from OE. My guess is that this has something to do with Thunderbird.

Has anyone encountered this issue? Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Compton

So what daemons do you have running? Check the file daemon.ini in your Mercury directory if you aren't sure.

Rolf,

Thanks for the response.

I will do that. However, I think I've solved the problem. Apparently Thunderbird  was configured to forward the message as an 'attachment' (default setting), by changing it to 'inline' the problem went away.

Thanks again for the response.

Sounds like Clamwall killing mails with .eml attachments. That is adjustable. See the Clamwall docs.
