Check with you ISP to ensure that they are not blocking port 25 inbound.  Many of them are now blocking port 25 both ways now.

You gave me a clue with this port 25 so I started thinking about it. I changed default port for SMTP to 587 on Mercury plus I made NAT on router public_ip:587-->private_IP:587. Then I configured clients Pegasus/Outlook to use 587.
I was thinking about your 25 and blocking and .... I had a brainwave. How the hell whole WORLD except me can know that I changed port to 587 when default is 25.
I changed port from 25 to different because I read many ISP are blocking port 25 so I thought I will use non-standard and thanks to this I will still have communication through INTERNET.

As I said - I had to use port 25!!!!!! I changed NAT on router public_ip:25-->private_IP:587 and ALL IS WORKING.

Thank you all for your ideas and help.
Best Regards,
Adam

PS. If somebody understand how mailing stuff is working than it is right Mercury is very easy to configure!!

Hi,

The problem is:
I have created account adamm@quari.pl with password on my mail server Mercury.

If I go to gmail account (for example try@gmail.com) and try to send email to my Mercury account adamm@quari.pl nothing happens.
I installed Pegasus 4.51 on my PC at home and configured to receive and send emails using my server placed in Internet.

If I use Pegasus and log to account adamm@quari.pl I can:
1) Send email to any mailbox in Internet including GMAIL: PC->Internet->Server->Internet->GMAIL
2) Send email from adamm@quari.pl to same mailbox adamm@quari.pl:  PC->Internet->Server->Internet->PC

It is not working when I send email from GMAIL try@gmail.com to mailbox adamm@quari.pl. I think I checked all logs on Mercury but there is no activity connected with receiving email from gmail.
I did not get any  UNDELIVERY message from GMAIL but maybe there is a delay with it.

Additionally I routed domain quari.pl to my server IP yesterday.
A Host value is server IP
MX value is quari.pl

I am really fresh with mailing and domain technology, everything could happen with configuration, everything is possible so I am open for all clues.
Thank you in advance for help.

Do no try to send anything to try@gmail.com - I used this fake account to be sure SPAM bots will not catch me original email

Hello,

MercuryD POP3 client in Mercury would go out and get the mail, over the internet, just like your Pmail can do.

Did you create a POP3 account in MercuryD with the Host name, username and password, (and defualt user) just like you did in Pmail?

If you did this, make sure it is not disabled (check box is at top of EDIT POP3 MAILBOX window) then click POLL NOW button in Merc Pop3 client window, and you will see it try to connect to that gmail pop3 account.  It will ERR if it cannot reach it.

If it can't reach it, something is wrong in the setup, either host name, username or password.

Hope this helps,

Mark
