I prepared the body of a message in a text editor in DOS format (lines terminated with CRLF), opened the new message window, made sure that the Rich Text box was not checked and pasted in my message. That automatically checked the rich text box.
Even if I unchecked the Rich Text box before sending, it was still sent in RTF.
Initially I thought that it was being converted to RTF if the message contained words such as HTML or Javascript but that doesn't appear to be the case. AFAICS when any text is pasted into the window, it automatically switches to RTF but typing in the same message, instead of pasting, does not convert it to RTF.
I want to send pasted-in messages as straight text. Is there any way of overriding Pmail's action?
