Thomas Stephenson suggested that I reinstall Pegasus Mail over my current version as an update. This fixed the problem and I was able to retrieve all of my old messages.

Hi, when I try to open my Pegasus Mail, I get the error message: Cannot find WINPM-32.dat, but WINPM-32.dat and WINPM-32.exe are both in the c:\pmail\programs folder. Properties shows the .dat file as 131KB and a video CD movie. How can I get Pegasus to start?

Are you sure that the file is not read only?

Neither file is Read Only or Hidden.

How exactly are you trying to start Pegasus? Has it ever worked before? Any other details that may be relevant, regarding configuration and OS, for example?

I start Pegasus by clicking on the icon on my desktop. The reason that I don't want to just reload Pegasus is because I would lose all of my old messages. Are there text files on my HD that I could go to and retrieve my messages without restarting Pegasus?
