system mailer problem windows 7
Thanks for your response, Pegasus was selcted as default e mail in set up. and I selected it as system mailer in options>hyperlinks. As for the path specification i am not sure where to do that. The "no communication with pegasus" dialogue I get is labeled "wsendto" if that tells me anything. I appreciate the help.
Please try installing MAPI support as described at its download page which you may go to via the SetPMDefault utility download page as you'll need the latter as well and it links to the MAPI page itself. It may not help, though, but giving it a try provides some more diagnostic hints (I'm currently setting up a Windows 7 system for myself, so I'll probably get more insights rather soon).

I installed pegasus in my new Windows 7 computer. Finally got IE to recognize pegasus as the system mailer but when pegasus opens it does not open a new mail message with the e mail address of the link. Since most websites do not show the e mail- just "contact" this is a problem.  Am I missing something in my set up?

Just a wild guess, but did you specify winpm-32.exe instead of wsendto.exe as the program?  It should be  "C:\Pmail\Programs\wsendto.exe %1" (assuming you put Pegasus in the default install location).
