Hello all,

I can't seem to get Pegasus v4.51 to display IMAP folders in offline mode. I connect just fine with IMAP to my Gmail account and I can see that the IMAP folders are cached locally but when I select to use the IMAP profile offline, all I see is the little mailbox icon with no folders listed below it.

Is Gmail supported or does one need to use Mercury to cache IMAP folders? I can't figure out what's going on.

Billy

I have the same problem for which I have spent much time and effort to solve, without success. Can anyone in this forum help? Is there a guide to using Gmail IMAP with Pegasus Mail?

Are you using the latest version and what IMAP settings have you tried with this?  I suspect the main issue may be trying to use IMAP when offline - I'm not sure of the conflicts involved with this.

Thanks for your reply.

I use PM v4.63 with Windows 7.

The IMAP settings I have tried are the recommended ones for Gmail.

I am able to connect to the Gmail server and see

the folder structure and individual messages in the Gmail mailbox

within the Folder Manager window. When I right click an individual

folder, I am able to select the “Cache all messages” option and

see the messages being cached.

However, after dismounting the mailbox and closing

the programme, I am unable to see all the Gmail folders offline when I

open the programme again. Only the main Gmail mailbox is seen, and it

doesn't have any folders in it.

Am I doing something wrong? What is the procedure to mount the Gmail IMAP mailbox offline and see the folders and messages it contains?

Ravi.

Well post what you have checked on the "Settings" and "Performance" tabs.

Settings tab:

This server supports folders within folders - checked

When deleting messages from folders in this mailbox - move them to an IMAP folder called "Bin."

All others unchecked.

Performance tab:

None checked.

All I can suggest is to try upgrading to the latest version (4.70) and see if that helps.  Your settings are similar to mine but with "folders in folders".

I tried upgrading to PM v4.70 but the problem remains.

I have not been able to create the new IMAP folders for Gmail in the Folder Manager window. Perhaps this is the problem.

What is the procedure for this?
