What might be going on ?

[quote user="fletch99"]

I recently started using Pegasus 4.51 so I'm just a newbie with the mail client.

Windows 7 32bit with a Readyboost USB drive ( if it matters).

The menu line with Open Add Rename Delete List keeps getting turned off and I have to turn it back on ?

Right-click and set the display option to be "text only".  That will be preserved between sessions.

This morning I checked for new email using the "Both check and send mail in one operation" button and no new mail came in. I went online to the mail server and there were four new emails in the Inbox. I tried Pegasus again and they did not come in. I then tried Windows Live Mail and all four emails came intothe  Windows Live Mail folder. I go back to Pegasus and try to send and receive again and the four four emails come in. How does this make any sense at all.

Your menu bar issues are a known Windows 7 bug. Fix should be available soon.

As for your mail download weirdness, there may be some confusion either on the server or in Pegasus (or both!) about what has already been downloaded. Using Live Mail may have "wiped" or reset the flags on the messages and Pegasus saw them as new. I'm not entirely sure.

If you access the same mail box with different clients you are more likely to have this kind of thing happen, I guess. Keep an eye on the behaviour and look for a pattern.
