Draft Manager -- How does it decide when to remove a message?

[quote user="Thomas R. Stephenson"]Messages  in the File | Open saved messages (Autosaved and other saved messages) are not queued for sending and will remain there until processed for sending or deleted. Stationary though remains in the drafts area until you delete them.[/quote]

I have many messages in the Draft Manager that I have save there while working on them. I use [message][save message][save] or if repeating, [message][save message][replace]. When I successfully send such messages, Pegasus sometimes removes them automatically from Draft Manager. Many times though it just leaves the message in the draft manager after it is successfully sent -- as if it were stationary.

When a message is saved in Draft Manager, how does Pegasus decide when to remove the message?

I have noticed over time that some messages stay there until I delete them. Other messaged disappear when I send the message.

Today I sent an email with two pdf attachments. It Comcast stopped uploading at 98% complete. In Draft Manager it was gone. In queue manager it was there in final form so I couldn't open it in draft form.

I recreated the email from the "save to" folder so no problem. This time it uploaded without incident. I am not concerned with this particular incicent, but why do some messages delete automatically when I send them and others not. How does Pegasus decide when to remove a message?

A queued message is removed when successfully sent.  Since it's converted from draft form to final form when the sending process starts a message that fails on sending will remain in the queue in final form until successfully sent.

Messages  in the File | Open saved messages (Autosaved and other saved messages) are not queued for sending and will remain there until processed for sending or deleted. Stationary though remains in the drafts area until you delete them.
