It's a known bug and it will be fixed in version 4.73 that is now being prepared.

Mercury 4.72 on Windows 7 starts in offline mode
Hi guys any help appreciated...
my Mercury 4.72 starts up fine under W7 ultimate but won't actually check for mail until I make it enter offline mode then leave offline mode - any clues?

forget this, should have searched the forums first - the answer is to disable the mercuryx scheduler and then it all works fine.[:$] It would be handy if this was mentioned somwehere as I upgraded from my previous version which worked fine
