What are the proper Merc setting to use for getting email both on my Blackberry and my desktop client?I read the threads about forwarding email to Blackberry. Is this what I should be doing?
You could do this but I would use IMAP4 rather than POP3 so both can read and see the same mail. Of course when one deletes a message then it's gone for both and that may not be what you want. If so then setting up a separate Mercury user for the Blackberry and then forwarding all mail from the main account to this account might be more efficient.
One more thing, I am assuming that when creating rules I want to use
General Rules and that if I have more than 1 rule saved Merc. will look
through all the .rul files?
General rule sets are only looked at when called by some other action like an alias using a general rule set.
