Pegasus 4.52, Netware evironment, Windows 7 not working

In case David has noticed this thread, Novell released "Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows 7 (IR1)" which fixes a problem with locking databases.  However, with the new client installed, using Pegasus 4.52 in a Netware environment, I am unable to move messages into or between folders unless I continue using the older "Novell Client 2 for Vista".

Has anybody been able to get the Novell Windows 7 client to work with in a Netware environment to work with Pegasus 4.52?

I'm running Netware 6SP5 on the server, with Windows 7 Enterprise and the Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows 7.

I can launch Pegasus from the server, and I can read mail, but can't move, copy or delete any messages into or between folders. Tried installing Pegasus locally too and that works the same.

It seems to work with Vista and the Client 2 for Vista, but same problem with Novell Client 2 SP1 for Vista. I tried the Vista client with Win7, but it doesn't seem to work well with Windows 7.

Cheers,

Tony

In case anybody else is wondering, the problem was Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows 7 and Client 2 SP1 for Vista.  I uninstalled that client and installed Novell Client 2 for Vista and it works.  There is also a patch called Novell Client 2 IR1a that doesn't work.  There seems to be many problems with the Client 2 SP1 at this point.

 Cheers,

Tony

Thank you Tony for posting the solution. It worked for us as well.

For those that are interested:

Novell Client 2 for Vista causes problems with a number of other applications, but if this client is installed first and then upgraded to Client 2 SP1 for Windows 7, these problems disappear and Pegasus keeps working as it should. Don't ask me why!

I am unable to get SP1 to work here. I tried upgrading as you suggested.  The first test I tried was to move a message from one folder to another. (That was one of the first issues I noticed with SP1 originally.)  Pegasus freezes.  I had to end the task.  I repeated the test and it froze again.

Judging from the messages on the Novell client forum, there are more serious problems with Client 2 SP1 that with Client 2.
